Our Personal Support Service offers a range of home and community-based services intended to assist people to participate fully in their home and community life. Personal Supports may include but are not limited to assistance, supervision, and training in the following: 

     • Financial Management

     • Locating Appropriate housing 

     • Medical Care Coordination

     • Light Housekeeping 

     • Self-Advocacy

Supported Living Services provide a person-centered approach to services that consider the uniqueness and abilities of each person served, regardless of disability. It may include support for just a few hours a week or daily “drop-in” by staff for those individuals who are relatively independent. Supports provided vary according to individual needs and may include assistance with:                                                       

     •  Locating Appropriate housing 

     • Grocery Shopping 

     • Self-Advocacy

     • Community Resources

     • Interpersonal Skills

     • Community Integration 

     • Goal implementation

Respite is an “indirect” service that provides relief to people who are responsible for the primary care and support of a person with a developmental disability. Respite care will ensure that persons will continue to receive services and have access to community activities. Families have the option of using a COIPSS support staff or someone they choose to provide respite support. Family-Chosen caregivers will be required to abide by the same onboarding process as COIPSS support staff. Respite Service can be planned or in emergent situations.

Our Career Exploration program provides individualized support to help participants explore employment opportunities, develop workplace skills, and gain meaningful work experience. Career Exploration may include, but is not limited to, assistance, guidance, and training in the following:

• Job readiness and skill development
• Resume preparation and interview coaching
• Career planning and goal setting
• Workplace exposure and mentorship
• Support in achieving employment-related goals

Community Development Services (CDS) offer personalized programs to help individuals engage fully in community life and achieve personal goals. CDS may include, but is not limited to, assistance, supervision, and training in the following:

• Participation in community activities and events
• Development of social and interpersonal skills
• Volunteer opportunities and community involvement
• Access to community resources and supports
• Guidance in pursuing individual interests and goals
